occasionally (correct me if I am wrong) there can be two placentas in the same woman - one for each twin.. those would be afterbirths. the one placenta, normally what happens would be singular. why is this a pole? |

I think it depends. f the placenta comes out in pieces it is afterbirths...but if it comes out in one whole piece it is afterbirth. |

.... which kind of jumbles up the question of it being a Dirty Duncan or a Shiny Schulze. Y'all think I'm crazy, but yup, those were the 2 names given to the placenta, depending on it's presentation after the birth. |
