She would have increased funding for nails, tough ones, for use in immigration reform.
In my defense, I was left unsupervised.

Without going into detail, or nitpicking, this seems like a serious approach to a serious problem.

He will gore just about everybody, which is politically wiser than trying to isolate the pain to smaller groups, like "the rich" or "corporations." Spreading the pain brings everybody to the table and demonstrates the breadth of the problem.

While it seems broad based, its hard for me to form too much of an opinion without seeing numbers.

But it seems a serious plan for sure.

Good for him. Only a Democrat could get away with proposing such a Republican plan.
The dogma lives loudly within me.

Passing it is another story tho'.
Identifying narcissists isn't difficult. Just look for the person who is constantly fishing for compliments
and admiration while breaking down over even the slightest bit of criticism.

We have the freedom to choose our actions, but we do not get to choose our consequences.

That's not a Republican plan - no tax cuts.

From the looks of all those tax increases, you're gonna need to find a second part time job Steve.

I said it is "such a Republican plan", not that it is a Republican plan. :tomato: ;)

After asking the question "what would eMeg have done," I was reminded by Rick Zimmer that:

1. She campaigned on cutting 40,000 state employees (though she never specified which ones).

2. She campaigned on eliminating the capital gains tax in CA to spur investment.

Such, would be a Republican plan.

Which is exactly what we have to do here - not targeted, across the board. It will be amazing how these folks find ways to deal with lower budgets while preserving their jobs.

I don't see job preservation as a happening thing. I feel for the people who will lose them even as I know there is no money to pay them right now.

Its' not going to do anything good for state unemployment figures either.

So far it looks mostly like extensions of tax hikes (sales tax) Arnold put in. I can live with that. Prop tax (Jerry knows what happens when you talk about messing with Prop 13) and state income tax look to be untouched and those are the three big ones.

The rest looks like fees of various sorts, but its early yet.
