Cooking knick-knacks for a pinning ceremony reception tomorrow. A couple of cheeseballs to go with some crackers, peanut butter blossoms, some chocolate chunk and sugar cookies along with some sausage-cheese balls.

Other folks are bringing the cake and doing the punch.

Should have about 100 people grazing by....

What is a pinning ceremony? Is that like a wedding? I think you've answered this before, but I can't remember.

My guess - a pin for a nurse is a graduation ceremony, just a guess from a fuzzy memory.
The Confederate soldier was peculiar in that he was ever ready to fight, but never ready to submit to the routine duty and discipline of the camp or the march. The soldiers were determined to be soldiers after their own notions, and do their duty, for the love of it, as they thought best. Carlton McCarthy

Ah... Very cool. Thanks Brenda and Copper. Congratulations to the one getting pinned, Jolly.

(Hrmmm... Somehow, that sounds strange... I don't know why, though.)

To be honest, the wife did those, so I'll have to scavenge around and see if I can come up with the recipe...it's mainly Bisquick, cheddar and browned patty sausage baked together.
