I think these could be reconfigured to work for the backsplash behind the range. They are from a tile company I really like. http://www.lesperancetileworks.com/ The tiles above the lily sets would be used down between the lilies around the bird set. We already have many acorn/oakleaf tiles from the same company to use in the rest of the kitchen for the backsplash. We'll add some plain tiles for the field between the acorn/oakleaf tiles and to supplement the lily/bird set. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The acorn/leaf tiles we have are the same as the ones shown here. We have them in various color glazes. ![]() |

Beautiful. A few accent tiles can really make a difference. Above the sink: (I don't have a window there unfortunately) Tumbled marble with this Tuscan scene.

Thanks, Mik and apple. Luckily, the bird set and the lily set are the same glaze colors. They can all work together with the bird set as the center and the lilies on either side. I have a 'thing' for Victorian tiles. These are reproductions of actual antique tiles.

HOLY CARP!!!

If it were me, I would go for something plain and smooth -- much easier to keep it (looking) clean. Tiles are good, though I would also consider a simple steel or copper plate. |

The relief or pattern is not raised very high from the main surface. Most of it is indeed flat. |

Very beautiful! We're considering changing the fireplace surround and I like the looks of tile from Motawi. Very similar to the tile you are using. |

lovely tiles, brenda. When I first looked at them, I thought, colour, you needs some bright colour (blue!) to lighten up all the warm tones in your kitchen. But on second look, I get a real sense of your taste, and can see how beautiful and traditional your choices are. If it were me, I'd use the space for a splash of modern, either like Ax, or with a mix of brighter coloured tiles.....colours I'd pick up and use in little bits in the rest of the kitchen. But that's me, not what I think you should do. Best of luck with the rest of the reno project.

The acorn tiles are in a variety of colors, including some brighter ones, such as a teal blues, greens, and lighter golds. It will add some more color as you say, just little sparks here and there. I've had them for several years, and it's exciting to get to use them. |

Glad you like them, plays! I've been wondering what to put on the backsplash for the range, something that would complement the acorn/oak leaf tiles I already have. I think this will work. The little bird is sweet, too. They'll suit this house, and that matters. |
