No, Larry. You've proved over and over that you absolutely will not entertain any point of view other than your own. In the spirit of being less masochistic, I think I'll refrain from beating my head against this brick wall, thank you very much.

Have a Merry Christmas. :)

Frank, once again, I have backed up my point of view with credible people who agree with me, so your claim is a cop out, and it's *you* that isn't willing to entertain a point of view other than your own.

Second, I'll take your refusal to explain what you meant as an admission that you have no clue what you meant.

That's fine. You would be entirely wrong about me, but your opinion of me has nothing to do with me. Even though I wish you a merry Christmas, you have to continue being a prick and ramming your point of view into the ground though, don't you? Amazing...

No Frank, I'm asking you to explain what the distinction is that you're drawing between the three things, and why that is relevant in any way to this discussion. I think that's a fair question. And I fail to see how me asking you to clarify *your* point translates into me trying to "ram my opinion down your throat". Seems to me I've asked you twice now to explain YOUR point of view.

So, I think we've identified two clear threats to God's will being accomplished within an acceptable time-scale (i.e. pre-armageddon)

1. New-Age people who centre their religion on themselves.

2. People who drive at 56 freaking miles per bloody hour on the highway.

3. The Church of England. OK, nobody else but me brought them up, but I'm doing the list.

Ask yourself this question, dear reader. You've got a new age hippy, a hypermiler and the Arcbishop of Canterbury in a room, and Chuck Norris has allowed you two, and only two, roundhouse kick vouchers. To whom do you apply them?

(Hint: You can apply more than one to the freaking Prius owner)
What do you mean "we", have you got a mouse in your pocket?

And I just told you that you are unwilling to entertain any point of view but your own, and you've provided ample evidence of this, so there really is no discussion, is there? I'm done. Bu-bye, now.

Frank, how does me asking you repeatedly to explain YOUR point of view translate into me "ramming my opinion down your throat"?

Can I exchange the two roundhouse kicks for a wedgie?

I'll bet Chuck Norris's are lethal.

Do you really want my views? :)

Perhaps you're right but I personally don't think you have a clue about what you're talking about either on the topic of pre-reformation Christendom.

I haven't been talking about pre-reformation Christendom.
Sure you did:

Ah, so the two of you think we should go back to a time when people weren't allowed to read the Bible for themselves, and had to be told what to believe by the priests.....

I just responded to your misunderstanding of it and when New Age thinking began infecting Christendom. Truth be known New Age thinking as you call it may have started in 14th century with John Wycliffe and the Lollards in England. Others may argue that it occurred before in 12th century Geneva with Peter Waldo and the Waldensian Movement. There were of course also the Cathars and the pope Innocent III's Albigensian Crusade in the south of France in the early 13th Century. I am also sure that you could find a host of other heresies and relgious movements going back to the first millenium.

Likely considered as a Democrat to the Republicans of his time. After all, he spoke of the redistribution of wealth.
