Hey, guys! What's the "manliest" thing you own?; Frank got me to thinking.

Other than vehicles and body parts, that is.

For me, it's this briefcase. It goes to and from work with me every day. It has been my overnight bag on a trip to DC, and it carries my iPod, journals, overnight stuff (for call).

I've had it since 1993.

Nothing is as effective as homeopathy.

I'd rather listen to an hour of Abba than an hour of The Beatles.

That'd be my autographed photo of Richard Simmons.

Do guns and a truck count?
If not, a Sauter 220? :)

Guns, yes. Vehicles, no (see original post).

Sauter? See post above yours. :lol2:

Yeah, I saw the post above mine. I'm a tier 1 kind of guy though, hence the Sauter. :P

Those are hardly "manly" instruments. In fact, they fairly scream "effeminate". Manly pianos would be Mason & Hamlin, Knabe, Chickering... If you had to go European, then Bechstein, Fazioli, and Steingraeber. Sauter and Bosie? Teh Ghey!
The problem with having an open mind is that people keep trying to put things in it.

Oh yeah! I meant to add Bluethner to the list of manly instruments.

The Confederate soldier was peculiar in that he was ever ready to fight, but never ready to submit to the routine duty and discipline of the camp or the march. The soldiers were determined to be soldiers after their own notions, and do their duty, for the love of it, as they thought best. Carlton McCarthy

Is it a bad sign then that I normally get drinks with little umbrellas in them?

Knabe, Steingraeber
Those are the only two that sound manly to me.

If M&M's gets harder stuff then yes, that's kind of a bad sign.

Sorry, I can no longer be friends with a man who lists Steingraeber and Knabe in the same list of pianos.
I can't wait to tell Udo this one...

You got something against Steingraeber?

They're really not that bad.

I'm not listing them on the same quality level, but they are both manly instruments. And I'm referring to the vintage era stuff.

I have a 15 inch Johnson. I believe that it's fairly manly, standing proud as it does next to my miniature Kennedy and Roosevelt.
