I'm going to look for a Canadian source for some blends like that (the no salt ones). I've always preferred mixing my own spices for the most part, but some of those sound good, and real time savers.
Yep, sue, I mix my own a lot, too. Sometimes I lack the most unique spices, and that's another reason to appreciate the mixes. They are also a convenience I love.
I was thinking that my kid would appreciate something like this. People with limited kitchens and time. I'm going to look for a good no salt (for some reason he's very salt-conscious) mix (like that sunny spain one), so we can play around with it over the holidays.
Promise not to tell hubby, cuz I may give him some for his birthday, and then stick some in his Christmas stocking. :shifty:

Here's what I ordered, all salt-free mixes:
Garam Masala Curry Mixture
Cajun Seasonings
Chinese Five Spice Powder
Florida Seasoned Pepper Salt Free Seasoning
Sunny Singapore Salt Free Seasoning
Curry Powder, Sweet
Little Italy Herbs, New York City Style Dehydrated Herb Blend
Sunny Spain Seasoning, Salt Free Spice Blend
Adobo Seasoning
Sunny Paris Seasoning, Salt Free Spice Blend

HOLY CARP!!!
Sue - I've used some PC salt blends - it's quite possible they make a no-salt version as well. (You know how I love the PC!)

Oh thanks, I'll look. I love their stuff too, dol. I've become a real PC fan.

just had a look at their website, and yes, they have quite a few 'grinders', I had no idea!

I love this, for my oatmeal eating kid. I'll put a bottle in his stocking.

I knew I'd get some solid direction here on my spice concerns. I am happier now.

Oh I bet a few other countries have them. They're ubiquitous.

Never thought about, never made a connection with a US president, so no for me. but who knows, maybe it turned some people off. interesting question. we're pretty sensitive about our stuff being owned by Americans.

Definitely not for me, either. I don't make an association between the two. There are a few flagship products (cookies, memories of... sauces) that have been around for so long that I can't imagine that would change people's opinions, but I suppose you never know!
