He genuinely enjoyed himself that day. I've only seen a few of those shows. I wonder how the concept would be received today?

That was great - particularly his one answer, "Unfortunately, yes." ^_^

Awesome.

My cousin lives in a FLW house.
In my defense, I was left unsupervised.

That was a neat show. I remember watching it as a kid.

At the end he refers to his latest project, Price Tower, in Bartlesville, OK.

A good friend of mine lives in Bartlesville. I wonder if she's visited Price Tower. . .
We're all mad here!

My cousin lives in a FLW house.
How does he/she like it? FLW houses have the reputation for being expensive to maintain and often sacrificing function for form.

I've been to Wingspread and the Keland House (Karen Johnson Boyd's home) in Wisconsin, and both were magnificent.
Civilisation, I vaguely realized then - and subsequent observation has confirmed the view - could not progress that way. It must have a greater guiding principle to survive. To treat it as a carcase off which each man tears as much as he can for himself, is to stand convicted a brute, fit for nothing better than a jungle existence, which is a death-struggle, leading nowhither. I did not believe that was the human destiny, for Man individually was sane and reasonable, only collectively a fool.

I hope the gunner of that Hun two-seater shot him clean, bullet to heart, and that his plane, on fire, fell like a meteor through the sky he loved. Since he had to end, I hope he ended so. But, oh, the waste! The loss!

I've never had a detailed conversation with her about it. I see her every 5 years or so.

In my defense, I was left unsupervised.

There is only one FLW home in all of Oregon, and it is owned by the FLW conservancy and located at the Oregon Gardens in Silverton. It is open to the public (the only one in the entire Pacific NW that is open).
