Aqua, you didn't get Peanuts because you were trying to read it as a kid. Charlie Brown was really a cartoon for adults, just told through children. And much of it was time-specific. Even an adult reading many of the older strips, removed thirty of forty years from the historical, and often social, events that originally made them relevant when first drawn, will sometimes scratch their heads and say, "Huh?"
