Interesting question. Is it appropriate for a sitting president to use his campaign symbols during a policy speech? Here is teh article including the backdrop Obama used.

Subscribe :Signage accompanying President Obama's policy speech at the University of Texas in Austin has raised some eyebrows, primarily because of the inclusion of the Obama campaign logo.

While nobody is accusing Obama of crossing legal lines, the Republican Party of Texas is questioning the decision to include campaign logos at an official presidential policy speech.

"It's one thing for the President to carry his campaign logo forward into the transition to the presidency," says Texas GOP spokesman Bryan Preston, "but quite another for him to carry it to official functions and policy events 18 months after he has been in office."

"The appearance of this logo on signage for an official presidential event - not a fundraiser, but a presidential policy speech - shows just how confused this entire administration is about what's appropriate and what is not. What next, are they planning to paint the Obama campaign logo on Air Force One?"

Preston added: "Mr. President, it's time to stop campaigning, listen to the people, and lead.

Oh wait - the picture has disappeared..... from Photobucket. It was out there this morning. Had the Obama round sunrise symbol big as life. Wonder why it has disappeared?

The Confederate soldier was peculiar in that he was ever ready to fight, but never ready to submit to the routine duty and discipline of the camp or the march. The soldiers were determined to be soldiers after their own notions, and do their duty, for the love of it, as they thought best. Carlton McCarthy

This looks like yet another indication of a guy who thinks more of himself than he does the office to me. But then maybe I'm biased. Has anyone else done this?
