(hat tip Quirt) Boston Globe Op-Ed: A bitter health care pill Having solved the coverage problem early, Massachusetts is now focusing on containing cost. I'm confident that Massachusetts will again lead the nation in improving healthcare for all.

One of the dear departed's favorite commie mantras.
The "perfect" in this case means doctors all become state employees working for a lower wage. That's cost containment. I wonder what that might do to the average IQ of the medical community. |

The Confederate soldier was peculiar in that he was ever ready to fight, but never ready to submit to the routine duty and discipline of the camp or the march. The soldiers were determined to be soldiers after their own notions, and do their duty, for the love of it, as they thought best. Carlton McCarthy

That's pretty much how it is in Europe from what I understand. Being a physician is much closer to a middle class job than it is in America. |
| As a good person, I implore you to do as I, a good person, do. Be good. Do NOT be bad. If you see bad, end bad. End it in yourself, and end it in others. By any means necessary, the good must conquer the bad. Good people know this. Do you know this? Are you good? | |

Who in their right mind wants to undergo 12-14 years of rigorous post-graduate education to make middle-class (not upper middle class, but 75K/yr middle class) money? http://mdsalaries.blogspot.com/2008/01/american-versus-australian-european.html |

Who in their right mind wants to undergo brain surgery performed by a guy who is paid less an autoworker. |

"Any man who would make an X rated movie should be forced to take his daughter to see it". - John Wayne There is a line we cross when we go from "I will believe it when I see it" to "I will see it when I believe it". Henry II: I marvel at you after all these years. Still like a democratic drawbridge: going down for everybody. Eleanor: At my age there's not much traffic anymore. From The Lion in Winter.

Or a brain surgeon paid less than the city manager of Bell, California. Oh, wait. That's all of them. |
