HOLY CARP!!!
Holding pay and other benefits constant, do you think the elected members of the US Congress (House Representatives and Senators) should take more vacations?

There is a proposal being floated about imposing a two month "recess" after the November election. The argument is that the more Congress is in recess, the less harm it can do. Though the proposal does not seem to include any cut in pay and/or benefits.

What say you?

No increase in vacations, cuts in pay and benefits. Period.
I cite irreconcilable differences.

Pay based on performance.

If they run at a deficit they pay.

If they run at a profit they share.
The Confederate soldier was peculiar in that he was ever ready to fight, but never ready to submit to the routine duty and discipline of the camp or the march. The soldiers were determined to be soldiers after their own notions, and do their duty, for the love of it, as they thought best. Carlton McCarthy

Ya know ... one way to turn a "profit", at least short term, is to increase taxes.

Like the guy with the lemonade stand - priced at $1,000,000 per glass.

He only has to sell one.

There are limits.
