If you've done any searching here, you've probably noticed that your result is limited to 20 pages. If you're looking for something pretty specific, a long time ago, it's not likely to turn up. Is there a way to enter multiple items in the field and have the search function search them *all*, to limit the number of hits? Right now if I search Mik Irishman Potato(e), I get a million hits (well, at least 20 pages) I'd like to find posts that have all three terms in one post. How do I do that? |

No. There's no way to use and/or boolean logic to limit search arguments. The search feature here isn't that sophisticated. For example, you can't specify all three search arguments with "and" connectors: the original poster plus a key word in the topic title plus a keyword in the topic's contents. It'd be nice to have this feature. You could really narrow down your search argument and make searching fast. |

You can limit the dates to small enough ranges so you get less than 20 pagers, then don additional searches with adjacent date ranges. It would be tedious but it would do a comprehensive search and not miss an entry because of the 20 page limit. |
| In my defense, I was left unsupervised. | |
