Kudos to AT&T

So when I left my job a few months back I went off my old corporate plan on my blackberry and started a new plan. Apparently, I didn't have any special international roaming deal on the new plan.

So coming back from Sweden I get a text message from AT&T warning me that I've run up a huge bill. I call them today and the customer service rep retroactively signs me up for an international package and 're-rates' my calls, texts, and data usage, turning a ~$500 bill into a $24 bill (on top of my normal monthly fee).

Kudos to them!
In my defense, I was left unsupervised.

If you want trouble, find yourself a redhead
So are you going to keep the international coverage after this month or drop it?

I forgot the best part - she asked me if I'd be traveling again soon, when I said not for a few months she offered to cancel the plan effective today, so Id only get one month worth. Then she said I could call back whenever to turn it on for my next trip.
In my defense, I was left unsupervised.

If that would have been the government you would have been screwed.

And penalized and charged interest.

And penalized and charged interest.
Or potentially worse.

I need to post an update on my 'household employer' status.
In my defense, I was left unsupervised.

Are you no longer a 'household employer'?
