Heh, I remember the sales dude called it a Lap Top and I wondered why I'd want something so heavy on my lap. It was a Daewoo something or other. A total piece of carpola. I returned it the same week; they replaced it; I returned it a week later for one of those desk tops in the other thread. I guess I might have been kind of nerdy back then. I don't think other nurses had computers. I've changed obviously. Motherhood did that to me.

Hubby has what you had Ax.

Nothing is as effective as homeopathy.

I'd rather listen to an hour of Abba than an hour of The Beatles.

I used one throughout college. It was nice, and four-place accuracy was all you needed.

Didn't we put a man on the moon using slide rules?

All right, I'll confess that it was my oldest son's computer, but he did let me use it.

This looks like the slide rule I went through college with and used at work until I got this.

I carried this in a belt pouch to and from work for awhile in the 1970s. I still remember that I paid $125 for it in five installments through a discount the company I worked for then arranged.

This thing was cool as hell. Got it in 1989 to help me through Calculas and Physics. Figured it looked enough like a calculator, that it would pass a visual inspection with the teachers (which it did). Had to personally program everything into it with basic. Which is why, by the time I was done programming all the formulas and information I figured I would need to know into them, I had ended up learning and memorizing all of it, and never needed to use the functions I put in there! :lol2:

The problem with having an open mind is that people keep trying to put things in it.
