HOLY CARP!!!
We have a *HUGE* orb weaver right now whose web is right out our back door.
We've named him "Charley" (though it's a she, not a he), and we watch him ever night.
He molted again while we were out of town, and is huge now. His abdomen is about the size of a marble.

We have pretty big wolf spiders too, and black widows are very common here. Thankfully we have a spider eating Rottweiler who comes running whenever you let her know there's a spider running across the floor "Izzy - get it!" usually gets her sprinting into the room.
"I realize you want him to touch you all over and give you babies, but his handling of the PR side really did screw the pooch." - Ivory Thumper
"He said sleepily: "Don't worry mom, my dick is like hot logs in the morning." - Apple
