Nothing is as effective as homeopathy.

I'd rather listen to an hour of Abba than an hour of The Beatles.

I am so adjective that I verb nouns!
I worked in restaurants in high school -- at one Mexican restaurant the owner had us actually reuse the tortilla chips if the previous table left it mostly full.
The dogma lives loudly within me.

ZOOOOOM!
Some of these are more widespread than others.

I've worked a number of places that made pizza, and the idea of making especially sugary dough just for a kids table would have been ludicrous. Why in the hell go through all the extra trouble.
I cite irreconcilable differences.

My thoughts, too, Aqua. They make the same dough for all, typically.

My guess on that would be it's from someone who does not realize that many pizza doughs actually call for some sugar. It feeds the yeast and affects the rise time. I use it in some of my pizza doughs, too. It doesn't take a lot, so it doesn't create a sweet dough.

HOLY CARP!!!
I've personally done the coffee trick, but only when our caffinated coffee order fell through or we already went through it all before the next delivery. The lemon thing - yep, I've worked in enough places, and honestly, I washed the lemons maybe 30% of the time. I don't put the lemon in my drink, I just squeeze the juice in. And specials...yep. Done that too. Not all of our specials were "bad food", but some were.
And how are you today?
