Finally

At the kidney stone center today. A quiet day today, we just finished our 9AM case, and nothing scheduled 'til noon. Really not worth leaving for an hour only to return, so we're ordering lunch in today. From the local Arab Place : http://albawadigrill.com/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nIybz6axr1Q |

I've been eating at a great little Lebanese place here. Fantastic food. I'll be on the road at lunchtime today, so I'm going to try the new Taco Bell Street Tacos that are supposed to be like the delectable ones sold by street vendors in Mexico. We used to stop and get those on the way back from Rosarito before we crossed the border. |

The Confederate soldier was peculiar in that he was ever ready to fight, but never ready to submit to the routine duty and discipline of the camp or the march. The soldiers were determined to be soldiers after their own notions, and do their duty, for the love of it, as they thought best. Carlton McCarthy | |

Given your locale, George, I would have thought you might have ordered a British delicacy .... in pie form. |

Not to worry, dear. The tacos were wretched. Nothing at all like the real thing. |

HOLY CARP!!!

Tonight it's sliders from Trader Joe's, there are eight in a package. I grill them and then top them with a slice of brie and some chive mayo. So good. I've experimented with toppings, I also like: brie and sauvignon blanc marinated grilled shallots blue cheese and red wine marinated grilled red onion with grain mustard If I'm making the sliders, I tend not to put much into the beef, I like to try different toppings. |

Oh, so they're "sliders" from Trader Joe's. Not the real thing from White Castle. You're such a poseur.

Oh, I have no doubt, none whatsoever, that that's the case. I just searched Trader Joe's site and can't find what they call "sliders." When I hear "slider" I think of something else. |

I ended up with the Shish Kebab, and one of the other people and I shared the Kufta Kebab. We had stuffed grape leaves, the Fatoush Salad (Mixed lettuce, tomato, cucumber, scallion, parsley, topped with baked pieces of pita bread - didn't feel like tebulleh) and pita bread with a sauce that tasted like a cream-cheese/cucumber mix. I didn't have dinner tonight. I love this stuff. |
