Tree house and use of union personnel - depends on how your local zoning and building codes, and your state's labor laws, obviously.

Also don't forget to consider liability issues, e.g., double check any tree house exclusions that may be in your current home-owner's insurance and get proper tree house rider as necessary.
Laugh test fail.

Just because a few small minds cannot think ouside a little wooden box when it comes to "tree house" doesn't mean the rest of the world have to be similarly confined. ;)

I don't think you know what I meant by "laugh test fail."

-AL, who made his own growing up back in the day with his neighbor and had 4 floors to it. And here's the amazing part: it was all constructed with 12 year old workmanship and scrap from the lumber yard, and nobody died! Fun was had without the government!
I cite irreconcilable differences.

I truly was kidding Ax.

(AL, we ripped down & liberated some boards from an outdoor rink to make ours. Dad never asked where the wood came from but supplied the nails. Definitely not a safe structure.)

I was talking of the grenades and the bad daddy comment. I'd enjoy meeting with you all. And you know that. :)

Now, juxtapose that carp with what kids did with lemonade stands down here:

Idiots. They misspelled "lemonade".

I'm sure I'd enjoy meeting Ax as well. I might have to trip him accidentally or something but a good time would be had by all. ^_^

I can confirm that Ax is a great guy - he also has the most wonderful family. Very, very entertaining.

I still owe Ax more of a dinner. I still feel bad of that Ax.

What are you talking about? You treated me to a very nice steak while we met in Alberta, that was probably 3 years ago. You've got to let me return the favor some day -- at a restaurant that has all the applicable, valid, and current permits and licenses, of course. No contaminated lemonade prepared by a seven year old who might have squeezed the lemon by hand before washing his booger off his fingers. ;)

When my daughter was little, she tried a lemonade stand a few times. I thought it was great, she'd learn all about how tough it was to make money, the preparation required, dealing with making change, dealing with shoplifters (friends).

Didn't take long. She learned that unemployment was easier.

When life gives you lemons, make a whisky and soda. Alternatively, look for someone with a papercut.

When Ax gets to heaven expecting his great sex and infinite beer, he's going to find it's been closed down due to zoning regulations.
:spit:

Thanks, John!

Trust me Ax. That wasn't real Alberta steak. It was 2" square, disguised with pine nuts & something called cilantro. You'd need larger tools to dissect the real thing. But you remain so gracious (& rather handsome in a suit I'll add).

Ssshhh ... don't tell Mik that it was a sub-$90 suit from Target, less he seethes in jealousy or foams over a toppled world view. ;) :D

It's a free country, Ax. You can wear whatever you like. But a cheap tie still looks like a cheap tie. :lol2:

I believe Ax took off his tie early on. I forget. I was drooling. Ya see, he had this iPhone thingie ... Or was it a Touch? We played with that awhile. He was fragrant with manners, wit & class.

There's quite a few people here who are fragrant. The wit and class are slightly less common. I won't even bother with the manners comparison.

Aha, the D'Oh has installed smellovision on his pc. John, next time I bake bread, I bring my laptop into the kitchen just for you to enjoy the aroma.

Just for you, buddy.

Who's yer friend? That's right. I am.

This is all wonderful, but exactly how did fragrant become part of the discussion?
