Just got home from taking treats to the theater again. This was week six. The first three weeks were pocket pies, Thunder cookie bars, and challah bread. Weeks 4, 5, and 6 have been frozen fruit treats, homemade popsicles. Daughter found great recipes on the interwebs and we have made oodles of them, full-size popsicles, not the kiddie-size things.

Tonight we had four flavors:
Orange Creme,
SPG (strawberries, pineapple, white grape),
Raspberry-Kiwi Silk (soy milk and silken tofu for creamy texture), and
Mango Tango (mango, pineapple, honey).

I took 20 of each flavor for a total of 80. Only 25 are left. The theater was packed with cast, crew, lighting guys, painters, etc, and everybody got one if they wanted it. Heh. That was pretty much everybody. :)

Before summer is over, make yourself some of these treats. They are sooooo good in the warm weather. If you need recipes, let me know and I will post some.

Here are the molds I use that I got through Amazon. I use two sets to make 20 at a time. We mix up a blender full and it's just the right amount to fill both molds. Each pop is about 3 ounces.

One of the most popular flavors is one I never got to try, except for a small taste to check sweetness before we filled the molds. It's called Sunrise and has strawberries, watermelon, peaches, raspberries, and orange juice. I've got to make a batch of those again, and now we have a whole case of fresh peaches to do so. Yum!

We used to do that with Koolaid as kids. A Rubbermaid set if I recall correctly.

Well, now that you're 'all growed up', you can use real fruit, Mik.

Healthy
