Proving that bigger isn't always better. I don't know why these aren't popular in the U.S. market today...

There is a line we cross when we go from "I will believe it when I see it" to "I will see it when I believe it".

If you want trouble, find yourself a redhead
Me too. Also the early 70's when Kawasaki came out with the 5 cylinder rockets.

And there was good reason for them to be popular. Not too expensive, good fuel mileage, lots of power for the size.

Seems like something like this is the perfect urban bike. I know you see a ton of small displacement stuff in the Far East.

I can't remember the last time I saw a 250 around here....

Often with two or three people on them.

HOLY CARP!!!
There are still a lot of Kawasaki Ninja 250's sold - but they are looked at as starter bikes.

I went to a vintage motorcycle club's cruise in a few weeks ago. Mostly Norton's. There was an old Honda with a sub-100cc engine from the mid-60's. My friend said that in the late 70's he bought three of them for $5 each.

Cuz most Americans won't ride period. They love their cars and trucks and the safety they provide over a 2 wheeler.

Face it, we hear about motorcycle wrecks on a daily basis, and as George can attest, they're never pretty.

The culture in the Far East demands economy over class. They've been paying over 4 bucks a gallon for a lot longer than we have.
