"America's Royal Wedding" -- that's how the BBC News headlined Chelsea Clinton's wedding. I suppose the Brits just can't help filtering this one through the royalty lenses.

Congratulations to this new couple, for sure.

Though I can't help to think how 'boring' the Chelsea-Marc story is compared to the Bristol-Levi saga.

Congratulations to that new couple, too, all the same.

If you disagree with that you should at worst keep quiet about it.

The people who commented here sure didn't: http://www.cnn.com/2010/POLITICS/07/29/chelsea.clinton.photos/index.html?hpt=C2

What a bunch of jerks.

Ok I don't like her mom and dad very much, but give the kid a break it's her wedding day for crying out loud.
The Confederate soldier was peculiar in that he was ever ready to fight, but never ready to submit to the routine duty and discipline of the camp or the march. The soldiers were determined to be soldiers after their own notions, and do their duty, for the love of it, as they thought best. Carlton McCarthy

Yup, it's her wedding day, just like any other US citizen. Can't imagine what makes Axe think it's even remotely comparable to a Royal Wedding.

I don't; it's the BBC News that used the word "royal."

How perfect is it that she's marrying an investment banker who's the son of a congressman? You could write a computer program to lead these people's lives for them and the results would be no more predictable.
As a good person, I implore you to do as I, a good person, do. Be good. Do NOT be bad. If you see bad, end bad. End it in yourself, and end it in others. By any means necessary, the good must conquer the bad. Good people know this. Do you know this? Are you good?

How did they afford the wedding? I thought the Clintons were flat broke based on the requests that they are still sending out to help pay for the 08 campaign.
The problem with having an open mind is that people keep trying to put things in it.

It's because they couldn't afford the trip. It's a Total Recall type of thing.

For the price of Chelsea's wedding dress and three wedding cakes they could have gotten a Chevy Volt.

I'm not sure about that. IMO, the Taj Mahal has always looked "fake" in pictures because of how gorgeously beautiful it is. I've seen many other photos (and videos) of it, and it always looks too-good-to-be-true.

The Taj always looks somewhat "fake". It is one of those rare monuments that there is so much hype about, but it manages to exceed its hype. Below is a picture I took at sunrise of the Taj.

It's not the Taj that looks fake in that picture, it's the Clinton's.

When I visit it, I noticed from the back that it was all a huge Hollywood stage set scaffold. Very impressive.
