Locusts on my plate

Now, if we can get past the grammar of the title ... I think I could do without the dessert.

This part struck me:

The heart of the meal featured cow udder in saffron; a combination swordfish, kingklip and blue marlin; and the shibuta, a fish from the Euphrates River that is famed for tasting like bacon.

OK, Bach, why would they want a fish famed for tasting like bacon! And how would they know? Get a goy to sample it and tell them? :lol2:

If you want trouble, find yourself a redhead
Mmm.. locusts. Crunchy.

Seems only fair we should eat the little bastards.

Sounds good. I wish I could attend one if these meals. It would be academically enriching while filling my belly. That is a good combination for me.

I'll try a lot of things, but I draw the line at bugs.

The founding of the bulk of the world's nation states post 1914 is based on self-defined nationalisms. The bulk of those national movements involve territory that was ethnically mixed. The foundation of many of those nation states involved population movements in the aftermath. When the only one that is repeatedly held up as unjust and unjustifiable is the Zionist project, the term anti-semitism may very well be appropriate. - P*D

You really don't have to avert your eyes. The link is tame. It's not a video with squirming insects in a stew. It's an article about the preservation of a rich tradition of kosher foods in Israel, many of which are falling by the wayside.
