If so, did you believe him when he insisted that he, and only he, made the overly hasty and regrettable teaching moment decision to fire Sherrod?

I didn't. I do believe he did not speak directly with Obama, but that kind of hasty kneejerk misstep seems to be becoming a hallmark of this administration. The 'pull over and do it right now' command seems to me it might have been Emmanuel. Vilsack, with significant executive experience, does not strike me as being that rash.

In the absence of any facts, pointing a finger at Emmanuel is logical. He is certainly prone to bluntness and a certain rash aggressiveness.

And finger pointing as much as he is able.

There is a line we cross when we go from "I will believe it when I see it" to "I will see it when I believe it".

He may have more limited choices, but he's still quite capable.

I wonder if anyone ever calls him a hack. :lol2:

What a stooge!

I wonder if I should bad for a guy like that.

I guess he convinces himself he is doing the right thing.
The Confederate soldier was peculiar in that he was ever ready to fight, but never ready to submit to the routine duty and discipline of the camp or the march. The soldiers were determined to be soldiers after their own notions, and do their duty, for the love of it, as they thought best. Carlton McCarthy

HOLY CARP!!!
What have we learnt about making "hasty kneejerk misstep" this week?

Can't you wait a few more days for more information to come through before pointing the finger at Rahm?

Stay on topic, Ax. I know it is painful to see your Golden Idyll tarnished, but the Obama administration has fvcked up royally on race yet again.
