I don't see why an accident of birth should preclude terrorists from being hunted down and killed.

'American citizens - like you' - yeah, right, just like you.
What do you mean "we", have you got a mouse in your pocket?

I'd be more concerned with the issue of due process. No trial, no judicial oversight, no way to appeal to get off some "hit list," no way to know whether you're on some "hit list" ... those go against the fundamental principle of fairness and justice for all.

Not at all. Would seem to me by joining up with Islamic terrorists they have renounced their American citizenship and excommunicated themselves latæ sententiæ from the rights of US citizenship and/or residency.

I hope they are hunted down like the dogs they are.

"They're trying to kill me," Yossarian told him calmly.
"No one's trying to kill you," Clevinger cried.
"Then why are they shooting at me?" Yossarian asked.
"They're shooting at everyone," Clevinger answered. "They're trying to kill everyone."
"And what difference does that make?"
I cite irreconcilable differences.

A fundamental principle would be "Don't bring a knife to a gunfight." Wussy stuff like 'fairness' and 'justice' are a part of the Western mindset and are in no way fundamental to anything. Such warm and fuzzy ideals may need to be abandoned when confronting the type of religious fanaticism that has chosen to attack us.
