But it falls under the "Look he's doing it too" category.
God knows you're never guilty of that.

And why not? If it helps my clients, your damned shootin I'll use them. If the Guvmint doesn't like it, they can rewrite the rules. And if you don't like it, write to your congressmen.

There sure is a lot of moralizing around here lately. :rolleyes2:

Not lately.

My position has always been that a person of sound character will try to do what's right, while a lawyer will try to do what's legal.

Which makes them the scum that they are. Necessary scum, but scum.

The is no provision that says you cannot buy lobster using food stamps, or that you cannot buy big screen TV or Bahama tour/cruises using Social Security pay out. Heck, you can buy lobster and big screen TV and book Bahama cruises and pay for abortion using federally sponsored (though state administered) unemployment benefit money. The federally sponsored COBRA subsidies do not exclude any healthcare insurance plan that also covers abortion.

If you want to argue that any of the above should change, go ahead.
To quote Ross Perot:

Now that's just sad...

KB, you misunderstood. I am for federally funded elective abortions, and federally funded artificial contraceptives, and federally funded elective sterilization procedures.

Get it?
Tell ya what I'll do...I'm about as pro-life as anybody here...since you want federally funded abortions, I'll agree to that in the first trimester...as long as you will allow mandated federally funded sterilization after the first child delivered to any woman who receives a federally funded delivery.

Deal?
No deal.

I place no restriction on "elective abortion," and I place no condition on "elective sterilization."

I am opposed to "mandated sterilization" unless it is a reversible procedure that is overseen by the courts and social services in certain restricted cases (e.g., mentally ill patients who are ineligible to make medical decision themselves and have other legal guardians to make that decisions for them).
Sorry, we only have a finite amount of money for healthcare.

With my proposal, you get your elective abortions. Which, using your argument, saves money in the long run.

I'm just taking this to the next logical step...by mandating sterilization after one federally funded delivery, we are also saving money in the long run, as we will decrease the amount of children in families (single or otherwise) that cannot afford to pay for them.

Eugenically speaking, you ought to love this. Typically, those families which occupy the higher socio-economic strati are more productive and intelligent. They also receive less federal dollars in the forms of housing subsidies, food subsidies and healthcare. Therfore, what we will accomplish is a culling of the herd on the lower end, while silmultaneously requiring less federal dollars overall.

It's a win/win.

Poor Kathy.... she just KNEW that Obama was the next Messiah. We told her what he was. We told her what to expect. Now that he's proven to be even worse than anyone said he'd be, Kathy is so politically and ideologically constipated that she will defend him no matter what - to the point that she will use the "good for him for finding a loophole" justification..

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAA!!!!!

The issue is that Obama promised the American people that he would not violate their wishes regarding federally funded abortions. Period. This is another example of how Obama does not give a rat's ass about what the citizens of this nation want, he will lie and cheat as much as he wants to to do what HE wants to do, and the blind, ignorant sheep like Kathy will line up like slobbering dogs to defend him.

Modern liberals are mentally defective. We should sterilize them all.

Not to mention, those are the people who pay the VAST majority of the federal income tax, so not only would you have a better, more productive, smarter society, but more people paying in for the "have nots" to continue on with their programs (until they're bred out).

I like your idea Jolly.
