I apologize for the brief Olbermann clip at the beginning - keep watching, it's worth it. |

Hilarious, but its almost cheating using Glenn Beck as a whipping boy. Its just too easy. |
| In my defense, I was left unsupervised. | |

Anybody who's sane can see this. Beck's viewing figures would indicate that America has a major mental health crisis looming. |

I am so adjective that I verb nouns!
|
You might be correct, the only people I ever see commenting on Beck are liberals. I don't know anyone who actually watches him. |
| The dogma lives loudly within me. | |

Maybe that explains why Fox is so popular - all the liberals are watching it as a kind of satirical experience. |

From WP: (i guess this is why he makes me yawn - at least he admits he's a socialist) Black's style of comedy is that of a man who, in dealing with the absurdities of life and contemporary politics, is approaching his personal limits of sanity. Sarcasm, hyperbole, profanity, shouting and trademark angry finger-shaking bring emphasis to his topics of discussion. He once described his humor as "being on the Titanic every single day and being the only person who knows what is going to happen." He claims that he doesn't write his jokes down, he merely starts talking about something that makes him angry until he has to move on before he has a stroke.[citation needed] Black has described his political affiliation as: "I'm a socialist, so that puts me totally outside any concept...the Canadians get it. But seriously, most people don't get it. The idea of capping people's income just scares people. 'Oh, you're taking money from the rich.' Ooh, what a horrifying thing. These people really need $200 million".[7] |

I watched the first half the other day off of a friend's facebook link. I find Lewis Black pretty funny so was surprised this Rooney-esque impression falling flat. I don't watch Beck either - he's too over the top for me. One pithy, spot-on comment pointing up the log in Beck's eye would have sufficed for me. |

Geez, you guys are no fun. Lewis Black's stand-up is the best comedy I've seen in years. He just points out stuff that we already know. |

Are there any right wing reactionary comedians? Well, I suppose Ted Nugent might count. He's bloody funny of course, but I don't think it's intentional. Bill O'Reilly clearly thinks he's as funny as Jon Stewart, but deep down we all know the truth. Laughing at his stuff is like laughing in church when the vicar farts. It's kind of amusing, and then the smell hits and you wonder about the state of his underpants. My favourite comic of all time is Stan Laurel. I have no idea how he voted. |

Dennis Miller has been called that. Adam Carolla has been called that too. But definitely most comics fall on the left side of the spectrum. |

Regarding Lewis Black, I think he's funny but intuitively I deduct points from anybody who mines politics for their comedy. Inevitably one side will find it way more funny than the other side. The reality of the funny lies somewhere in the middle, and that reality would probably be pretty unremarkable. |
