A few weeks ago I noticed my date was off on my computer. So I reset it. But it hasn't been logging mail in my "sent mail" folder reliably, which I just noticed today. The last date is "6/7/2010" for mail I sent a few weeks ago. I'll reset my "sent mail" folder preferences, but I heard somewhere that date changes can signal a virus or a trojan or something.

Anyone know if resetting the date in your system tray is sufficient? or do you need to reset it elsewhere?

I thought a Trojan prevented viruses.

Go to the options menu, from the "fck" item, select "off", and then from the "go" sub-item select "away". Read the terms and conditions, then click on "I agree". Proceed to fck off and go away.
As a good person, I implore you to do as I, a good person, do. Be good. Do NOT be bad. If you see bad, end bad. End it in yourself, and end it in others. By any means necessary, the good must conquer the bad. Good people know this. Do you know this? Are you good?
