A very cool house. I love the stair case in pic 8 but from a practical perspective, I would be nervous with no handrail on either side.

I love the freestanding tub in the bath; we looked at a similar style when we remodeled a bath in our 1960's vintage home. Frightfully expensive and our bathroom wasn't large enough to pull it off.

I don't like those at all. So cold!

Those bathtubs look like something you'd find at the morgue, for washing up the dead bodies.

I'd rather have something like this, if I had money to blow.

I am so adjective that I verb nouns!
I agree Sue -- those sleek Bauhaus tubs aren't designed for real human bodies. I prefer more organic, ergonomic designs.

Did you see the Ove series? Rounded, but definitely contemporary.

Slipper tubs are pretty, but not my style.

I tested out the various models (both the Cube and Ove) and they were quite comfy. Just too darned expensive.

I settled for a Kohler soaking tub that was one-tenth the price. And it's amazing how much warmer the water stays in an acrylic tub than a cast iron tub. Of course, there was that problem with lousy insulation in the tub surround area that got fixed during the remodel that might have had something to do with that, too...

:lol2: :lol2: that took some work and eye strain to read, but was worth it. And yeah, good point there.

a bath?

If that question is for me, the test was conducted in an empty tub in the showroom. I was considerate and took my shoes off so I didn't scratch the acrylic.

I've never seen such expensive fixtures in my entire life. I thought they were going to charge me for looking.

I cheated.

I couldn't read it; I clicked "quote" and the text came up on the full reply screen.

I would like to live in a hobbit hole.
As a good person, I implore you to do as I, a good person, do. Be good. Do NOT be bad. If you see bad, end bad. End it in yourself, and end it in others. By any means necessary, the good must conquer the bad. Good people know this. Do you know this? Are you good?

As you should be - not just because its a safety hazard, but because its not code-legal and indicates that the home was never signed off by the building department.

Stair railing requirements are pretty basic. I shudder to think what else is likely wrong with with that house.
