That's up over 80% since March-09 lows.

Civilisation, I vaguely realized then - and subsequent observation has confirmed the view - could not progress that way. It must have a greater guiding principle to survive. To treat it as a carcase off which each man tears as much as he can for himself, is to stand convicted a brute, fit for nothing better than a jungle existence, which is a death-struggle, leading nowhither. I did not believe that was the human destiny, for Man individually was sane and reasonable, only collectively a fool.

I hope the gunner of that Hun two-seater shot him clean, bullet to heart, and that his plane, on fire, fell like a meteor through the sky he loved. Since he had to end, I hope he ended so. But, oh, the waste! The loss!

If you want trouble, find yourself a redhead
My investments held at the time of the drops have made up almost all of what was lost. Anything purchased since then has done quite well, although it was a lot less than normal due to lack of income last year.

Yeah, I think we have had a good financial education. The decisions we made 10 years ago make sense now and hopefully in 10 years from now we'll feel the same.

Over the past few years I don't look at the monthly statements. My husband does and I ask him not to tell me. I will look at them again, I guess, when paying tuition becomes a reality.

So did Jim Cramer.

There's never a lack of people who tell you it's a good idea to sell in a tanking market. It boggles the mind.
