Article: ABC: Sarah Palin hauls $12M since July
That's 100x what she made as Governor of Alaska, and 8x what Tina Fey makes in a year. :)

Well she's finally met the one true requirement to be an eligible President.

If I had 12 million dollars I would donate about half of it and retire.

I would put a vast majority of it in low interest, tax free muni-bonds. Screw the high return, high risk, taxable crap!

Nope.

Bösendorfer or even 9' Estonia Concert Grand.

Actually I would buy three or four 9' Concert Grands.

Bösendorfer,
Estonia,
Hamburg Steinway.
Fazioli

I would play all three for a year decide which one(s) (2 max) I wanted to keep and then donate the others to some worthy cause.

What's really funny is that a goodly number of the people who complain the loudest about how much tax they pay have given Sarah Palin 12 million dollars to spend on God knows what.

She's given all that money to defend the Real America.

If you want trouble, find yourself a redhead
I can see why she's doing what she is, and I'm not convinced it has to do with running for president. With significant dollars she can play a big hand in shaping the debate in this country, which is arguably more good than one could do with the shackles of the presidency.

:tsktsk: She could always afford to subscribe to newspapers. She might actually have subscribed to newspapers. She might have even read some of them. She just couldn't tell people which particular ones she read.

Hey! You already have a gorgeous European 9' concert grand!

I was thinking the local High School Music Department, College, Symphony or the church.

good for her. I'm thinking of bagging college and becoming a mouthy personality like her -- speak to people's fears and frustrations -- AND RAKE IN THE DOUGH off their hard-working backs.

I doubt you look as good in heels as The Palin.

They wouldn't have to work so hard if they stored their dough in the kitchen, and you'd have an easier time obtaining it if you instead used a bowl or pot or something.
I cite irreconcilable differences.

Palin has very unfairly being painted as an idiot, IMO. The idiots are the ones giving her their money.

But it's perfect.
They've found a person who truly represents them.

You mean just like Al Gore.
Or Michael Moore, Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter...

There's money to be made in rabble-rousing.
Civilisation, I vaguely realized then - and subsequent observation has confirmed the view - could not progress that way. It must have a greater guiding principle to survive. To treat it as a carcase off which each man tears as much as he can for himself, is to stand convicted a brute, fit for nothing better than a jungle existence, which is a death-struggle, leading nowhither. I did not believe that was the human destiny, for Man individually was sane and reasonable, only collectively a fool.

I hope the gunner of that Hun two-seater shot him clean, bullet to heart, and that his plane, on fire, fell like a meteor through the sky he loved. Since he had to end, I hope he ended so. But, oh, the waste! The loss!
