Also correct. She's going to be in town for an annual lecture series at the seminary next week, on the subject of preaching. She'll also be delivering a sermon during a worship service next Tuesday evening. I guess you could say I'll be her "opening act" - I'll be doing for her what she did for the inaugural. I'll be the lector for the evening, reading the scripture passages just before her sermon that night. I'll be doing for her what she did for the inaugural. |

How cool! Having seen you in action I know you'll be great! While I like her message, her latest video sermon is a bit over the top for me.....I think her more subdued form at the prayer service was something that I would be more inclined to pay attention to....But then I was raised Catholic...all that shouting and arm waving is a bit off putting...! |

Just thinking...will this all be video taped? Might we be able to see both of you in action? |

It may be. They usually video the Wednesday services and post them online. I've been in a few of them in the past - including one where my hair hadn't fully grown back yet, IIRC, which made me look really funny, especially while wearing an alb. For this special lecture series, they may also do some video - I'll let you know if they do.I didn't look at all of her sample videos, but I saw that she has a range of styles, appropriate for different types of "audiences." I don't have her full range, but I do also do that to an extent - for example, when the local African-American Baptist church asked me to preach one evening during their Homecoming Week, I opened the throttle up a bit for that evening - but I still couldn't come close to her.
