Huh. I didn't. But then I don't much care bout that anyway. It's only significant because we use base 10. If we counted in hex, I'd only have 9C40.

Minnesooootans are nice people, kenny, and I am very Minnesooootan.

I'll try again, kenny.

Ahem.

You smell like lutefisk. (That's a really harsh putdown if you know what lutefisk smells like.)

All of which have been gleefully embraced by the current administration so where is this liberal/conservative dichotomy with these issues.
Gleefully embraced? Hardly. Somethings are hard to get rid of when they become entrenched in the system. We'll see how quickly the Republicans can get rid of the health care reforms if they regain their power. :lol2:

PS: Sorry, to derail the derailment. Just had to respond to that, though.

Diary Of A Snow Shoveler...

I laughed my head off! So true, especially about the @#$%! snowplow drivers! Thanks brenda... I really needed the chuckles!
Civilisation, I vaguely realized then - and subsequent observation has confirmed the view - could not progress that way. It must have a greater guiding principle to survive. To treat it as a carcase off which each man tears as much as he can for himself, is to stand convicted a brute, fit for nothing better than a jungle existence, which is a death-struggle, leading nowhither. I did not believe that was the human destiny, for Man individually was sane and reasonable, only collectively a fool.

I hope the gunner of that Hun two-seater shot him clean, bullet to heart, and that his plane, on fire, fell like a meteor through the sky he loved. Since he had to end, I hope he ended so. But, oh, the waste! The loss!

my biggest regret (aside from going hat in hand to FR and apologizing) is that I changed my name and Larry no longer calls me Precious.

I don't know what I'd do if Larry left. I'd probably get off the internet completely. I had no idea who he was when I was at the "first" forum we all came from and we interacted regarding a not-too-honest guy who was taking people's money for pianos not delivered. God those were fun times. i'm saddest that I only discovered it in 2006!

That said, why is everyone so nosey about who has supposedly left or who hasn't signed in in a few days or who is taking a break or whatever? 99% of hte people who "left" are at another forum discussing this one. It's just a third-party thread.

I got so riled up about the denomination-that-cannot-be-mentioned that even I had to turn off my links for a day or two.

you're crazy as a loon Larry and you bring nothing to this place but ugliness and rancor.

But you know what? I don't mind your presence here one bit though because you bring a fascination to this place, (sort of like a car wreck) that would otherwise be much duller here.

It amazes me though, the people who put up with you, who even call you friend, people who I normally respect here, that look past your nutter personaility. I guess you are the vocalization of their inner voice. You say out loud, the things that they keep inside and believe but would never utter here. You are their mouthpiece.

This whole mass exodus is just a temporary thing though, it always is. Most of them will be back soon enough and your sorry ass forum will be back down to Griffin's nutty 2 posts a day. You guys will implode with you like minded group think.

hehe...

You know, there are several people here who have earned my respect by showing themselves to be fair minded, clear thinking, rational, intellectually honest people of character, and had one of those people said the things you just said, well it would hurt me to the core.

But you aren't one of those people, in fact my opinion of you is that you're about as nutty as a fruitcake. So your opinion doesn't mean sh!t to me.

As for my forums, you could be right, who knows. But obviously it intrigued your sorry ass enough for you to come there and read those two posts a day.

Now as for Gryphon being nutty.... pal, you just showed a whole lot of very sharp minded people that you're as stupid as a box of hair.

And as for me: I earned my stripes in this group years before you ever showed your stupid ass. The only person on ANY of these forums that has been around longer than me is Jodi. I've taken shots from far better than you, so stuff it up your ass, you mental midget.

Nice, dude.
I'm hoping he just accidentally ommited a "not" there. (I don't think he ever did apologize so the sentence doesn't make sense as is.)
As a good person, I implore you to do as I, a good person, do. Be good. Do NOT be bad. If you see bad, end bad. End it in yourself, and end it in others. By any means necessary, the good must conquer the bad. Good people know this. Do you know this? Are you good?

You have to be kidding. The Democrats own Congress and the presidency yet reauthorized the Patriot Act without so much as a whimper. All the other things you mentioned can be overturned by the president with a stroke of a pen. What on God's green earth are you talking about?
