Good luck Dewey.

My ultimate backup plan is a job at Starbucks.
As a good person, I implore you to do as I, a good person, do. Be good. Do NOT be bad. If you see bad, end bad. End it in yourself, and end it in others. By any means necessary, the good must conquer the bad. Good people know this. Do you know this? Are you good?

I think that could be a hilarious show about a pastor at a pet funeral parlor. Sort of Six Feet Under meets Arrested Development.

Our minds are melding.

With the undercurrent of a bad economy, people could relate to the humor of people with brilliant minds taking menial (is that the right adjective? obscure? bizarre?) jobs.

Dewey, in the UK about 6-7% of registered architects are officially unemployed.
I have doubts about the official figure showing the true state of affairs.

Without saying to much, in the latest round of streamlining, there are three people including my friend who are threatened with redundancy. Initially only one was to remain. They have taken a large pay cut (haven't had a rise for years) so that only one will go. And he works very long hours.
Not a happy situation, he shares these things with me as a form of therapy, preferring not to worry his wife with uncertainties.

Ironically, I have a niece who is in her first year of an Architectural degree at Liverpool University. By the time she qualifies and heads out into the real world, the situation will surely have improved.

Best wishes to you

Of course, you have to have the protagonist working for a kid that would be underqualified for a position as a fry cook.
The problem with having an open mind is that people keep trying to put things in it.

Oh yeah, now we've got the basis for a screenplay.

Now all we have to do is figure out how to work in an alien secretly living with the guy's family, and we've got it. ^_^

Oh Dewey, you certainly deserve a cut of the revenues. You will be playing yourself -- our budget is too low for professional actors.

I will cast myself in some sort of sex symbol role.

It's a comedy people, sheesh.

:lol2: That's brilliant, people. Add in the 'clearly from another planet' teenager, and that slightly off the wall sexy yoga instructor from next door who keeps dropping by, confusing both the wanna be fry cook and the overqualified pastor.

edit: seriously, best of luck to you Dewey.

Apple is no exception -- her talents will have to be drastically under utilized. She may be writing commercial jingles??

You can be this amazing yoga hooker (johns, not rugs). She charges by the difficulty of the position.

It could happen. I used to date a yoga instructor.

Look, Mik, I knew you'd show up looking for a part.

You are the local dry cleaner. A small bit, but you'll have a dish of mints on your counter and the locals will find you odd but funny. :silly:

Oh, you're not that successful. In fact, I think you're not the owner.

Do you not remember the theme of the sitcom? What makes you get the delux apartment in the sky and a smart-mouth maid?
