And how's that been working out for you/us. :lol2:

In fact the general populace probably gives less of a **** about the Mars missions than the government.
Well, the abundance of popular science fiction about mars might suggest otherwise.

For the most part they leave me alone which is nice.

Hey, I love that stuff too, but not to the point of actually doing anything about it. I'd rather hit up Home Depot and get the tiles in my bathroom fixed.

Ok cool. But don't presume to speak for humanity.

I'm not speaking for humanity, I'm telling you something that's true about it.

Would alien shrimp be served with a red wine, or a white?
The problem with having an open mind is that people keep trying to put things in it.

In your opinion, not in mine. And since it's not something that can be actually known definitively, for you to claim it as true is unfortunate.

I can't help it if you're either not intuitive or comfortable enough to make claims regarding the whole of humanity. Of course I could be wrong but I see more evidence for my point of view in a day than yours.

You can't disagree without insulting can you?

A day will come when you realize you don't have the whole world figured out.

How is that insulting? It was an either/or, if I thought you were an idiot I'd just say so outright. But if you want my guess it's that you don't like broad claims because they're not definitive and outliers exist. That true? I have no problem with 'em. And if you re-read my last post I fully admit that I could be wrong about this and sure, a couple of other generalizations I make. But I'm not going to keep from makin' 'em.
