2 Tim 4:3 For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 2 Tim 4:4 They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. Just a reminder that Glenn Beck is not God. |

Unlike Ms. Pelosi. |

The Confederate soldier was peculiar in that he was ever ready to fight, but never ready to submit to the routine duty and discipline of the camp or the march. The soldiers were determined to be soldiers after their own notions, and do their duty, for the love of it, as they thought best. Carlton McCarthy | |

It sounds to me as if that's exactly what Beck is saying. He should even quote those exact verses. |

Oh, if I had a nickel for every time someone's quoted that to me... and a nickel for every time I've quoted it to someone else.

ZOOOOOM!

Usually, the truth of a thing is very simple to comprehend but very difficult to act upon. And usually, the supplementary bull**** is well-worded and complex but asks only for facile effort to obtain the goal. |

My hackles go up when the speaker claims to be speaking on behalf of God. I have found an inverse relationship between those who profess to have a direct hookup to God's intent for the world and their own inability to keep their pants zipped up. |

Nope, Beck is not God. He is Mormon. Worse, I heard he was a Mormon convert as an adult, so that explains a lot to me. |

Deuteronomy 6.13: 'And a pudgy man who doth irritate most mightily will be seen to cry like a young virgin on the box of idiocy that surpasseth all understanding, and people who lack thought will buy his parchment and writings and say 'verily, he speaketh sooth!' but others will mutter 'bloody moron' under their breath, and it will be meet and right so to do. OK, I've strayed a little from King Jimmy, but the intent's there. |
