How many years of schooling does this take? And can you recommend any good schools in the DC area?

Saw that yesterday. Schooling to become a CRNA includes the following: 1) Get your BS in nursing 2) Get your masters in nursing (2 years) 3) Work in an ICU setting for 2 years 4) Go to CRNA school 2 years That article is skewed, a bit however. Most CRNA positions involve a lot of call, and a lot of weekends. We don't pay our nurses nearly that much, but they work 40 hours (4 10 hour shifts) with no call, no weekends, no holidays. If I had to do it again, I'd look at it long and hard. |
