ST. PAUL, Minn. - Several Ramsey County jurors say reports of sudden acceleration in Toyota Camrys have them wondering if they sent an innocent man to prison three year ago.
They discussed the case of Koua Fong Lee with the St. Paul Pioneer Press for a story in today's editions.
Lee was convicted of criminal vehicular homicide in 2007 after the Toyota Camry he was driving home from church smashed into an Oldsmobile in June 2006, killing three people.
Lee maintained throughout the case that he stomped on the brake, but the car wouldn't stop.
Juror Danny Buechler of St. Paul says he would like to see the man get out of prison within three months.
Juror Margaret Race of White Bear Lake says she cried after reading a news story about Lee. She says the trial focused just on the Camry's brakes.

HOLY CARP!!!
I heard about this, and the news report said something about a reinspection of the vehicle. I was surprised it was still being kept this long after the crash. Perhaps the case has been on appeal for all this time?

HOLY CARP!!!
Any truth to the rumor that not long ago the chairman of Toyota was overheard saying, "Even God couldn't sink this company!"?
