Nothing is as effective as homeopathy.

I'd rather listen to an hour of Abba than an hour of The Beatles.

ZOOOOOM!
How are they making these comparisons? Obviously comparing the salaries of dry cleaning workers is relatively easy but "lawyer" is a ridiculous broad category. Age of the employees, how long they've been working in the same field, in the same office, etc., and especially, the range of salaries in their respective fields has been left out.
I cite irreconcilable differences.

Does anybody else find it interesting that the fields with the biggest pay disparity in favor of the government were: Public Relations, Broadcast Technicians, Landscape Artists, "Recreation Workers", and Clergy?

The problem with having an open mind is that people keep trying to put things in it.

The two biggest differentials for lawyers are the practice specialty and the location in which they practice.

Anesthesiologists, for example, probably don't compare their salaries to those of podiatrists.
It would be unwise to underestimate what large groups of ill-informed people acting together can achieve. -- John D'Oh, January 14, 2010.

It's the government pensions that are going to kill us.
