Sees lesson in translating an Israeli's Work

This is a pretty moving story. Every time I see something a long these lines (and there are more than you might think), it gives me hope for the region.

I saw that as well. It is a small .... very small ... window of hope. Yet I think we react so positively to this because it is so absolutely rare on the Arab side to see this empathy.

The story of Mosab Yousef, son of one of the founders of Hamas, offers a sobering counterpoint. It offers a different window, one that suggests why empathy is such a rare and valuable coin on the muslim side of the ledger. [Note that the Khoury family in the article you cite is one of the dwindling Palestinian Christian minority.]
