Senior Carp
I finally watched it. I bought the DVD it seems like 2 years ago but never watched it. Part of me was afraid to for fear that it would be really sad. Well, I ended up crying much of the last 20 minutes of it, but it does have a very sweet ending.

What a lovely, beautiful film and Mark Bittner is a beautiful person. It's still not clear to me what he survives on!

Thanks for the recommendation, kathyk.

HOLY CARP!!!
Bernard, thanks for mentioning it.
When I saw your thread I remembered I wanted to see it, and Netflix had it as an instant stream.

Just finished.
Very moving for bird lovers.

Puppy sat with me and we watched it together.

We have large flocks that look, and sound, just like this here in our city.

I Owe It All To John D'Oh
I've seen the flock in San Francisco, live, several times. It's interesting.

If you want trouble, find yourself a redhead
There are lots and lots of wild parrots in So Cal. Don't know about San Francisco.

Florida has a bunch as well. They don't do so well in the northern latitudes but some manage to survive.

There is a line we cross when we go from "I will believe it when I see it" to "I will see it when I believe it".

The ones in San Diego make an awful racket at sunset.
