I love watching PC people go haywire when they encounter them.

There is another forum I visit, and those folks are absurdly PC, at least they are sure they are. LOL

I'm not really sure about those, man.

I think those are douchebag stereotypes, not political ones. I see just as many right-leaning people with those (minus maybe the birkenstocks) but I'd say that, in general, they're tools more than they are liberal (or conservative).
I cite irreconcilable differences.

The first time I read that post I thought you were talking about PC computers, not politically correct people.

Probably a hybrid these days instead of a VW.

Mac -- check
iPod -- check
iPhone -- check
Starbucks -- check
hybrid -- check
Birkenstocks -- no, even more laid back are Ohana flip flops

I'll freely admit that yes, they do put a good computer together.

...least now they do, anyways. If I were in the market for an out-of-the-box computer right now I'd definitely go with a Mac.

I started using a Mac in 1986 -- and I was a conservative then as well.

I started using a Mac in 1986 -- and I was a conservative then as well.
Back in those days, there were clear industry preferences between different types of machines, largely due to incompatibility issues. (Some people aren't even aware that up until fairly recently, Macs and PCs had entirely different architectures.)

Back in the 80s, if you were a journalist or a graphic designer using a computer, you were using a Mac and that's all there was to it. I think the internet did a lot to bring the computer industry together in terms of compatibility between different kinds of machines, and when Macs started their "simple, easy-going, non-nerdy" ad campaigns they started to pick up the d-bag liberal user stereotype.
I cite irreconcilable differences.

True dat. I used Mac mostly for graphic support of architectural design and for word editing. I had to switch over to PC to run autocad since the CAD programs in Mac were crap.
