My position is simple: you jumped to an unwarranted conclusion and slung mud on an issue where none was deserved. Quirt 03/08/09

The News Tribune of Tacoma reports donors who are at least 21 years old are given a coupon for a free pint of beer. The pub must wait at least four hours after the blood drive ends before donors can cash in on their free pint.

Back when I started giving blood they offered a pretty stiff shot of whiskey to the donors immediately after donating with no age test. I never took them up on it because having whiskey with a donut never really appealed to me. Somewhere down the years sanity prevailed and the blood bank quit giving out whiskey. Still, something was lost.
