Wash. bloodmobile offers beer to blood donors

A Washington state blood center is offering donors a deal: Give a pint of blood, get a pint of beer. Cascade Regional Blood Services in Tacoma says its "Give blood, get beer" promotion has worked so well that it's being expanded.

The News Tribune of Tacoma reported Monday that donors who are at least 21 years old are given a coupon for a free pint of beer.

Participating pubs and restaurants must wait at least four hours after the blood drive ends before donors can collect their free pint.

Cascade's director of donor resources Dan Schmitt says it's a fun way to get more donors, and it's good for the participating businesses as well.

I was gonna say. After donating, there's a good chance some of the donors could get rather sloppy after just one beer.
I cite irreconcilable differences.

Oh, this isn't going to attract high risk donors at all.
What do you mean "we", have you got a mouse in your pocket?

And poor Opti had her craigslist ad pulled, presumably because she offered a six pack of beer as partial payment for taking her sofa away.

If you want trouble, find yourself a redhead
Hell, back in 1980 you could get $10 for a pint of blood in San Diego. I knew a lot of folks who did it. With inflation, it ought to be around $40 by now. And you get a lousy pint of beer?

No sale.
