He campainged on one set of ideas and came face-to-face with reality, including daily security briefings and beltway politics, and is governing on a modified set of ideas.

I can't frame that in terms of success.

Seems like a nice man, but I would prefer someone who sees the role of the federal government as more narrow.

The Confederate soldier was peculiar in that he was ever ready to fight, but never ready to submit to the routine duty and discipline of the camp or the march.
