He's like a guy who keeps wandering up to you at a cocktail party with the express intention of annoying you.

This is a good description of your postings on this forum.

You continually bring us some of the most vulgar, selfish, childish rants seen anywhere in the forum.

This particular thread is one of the worst.

Coming here to insult the intelligence of anyone willing to read is something you do daily.

This forum is cheapened by your behavior.
The Confederate soldier was peculiar in that he was ever ready to fight, but never ready to submit to the routine duty and discipline of the camp or the march. The soldiers were determined to be soldiers after their own notions, and do their duty, for the love of it, as they thought best. Carlton McCarthy

I have to agree. The little needlepoint sentiment is unpleasant on a regular basis. It's kind of like repetitive foul graffiti.
You guys didn't like /ignore either. Renauda suggested I follow Larry's model. I have.

Or, just get IT to stop talking to me. He's like a guy who keeps wandering up to you at a cocktail party with the express intention of annoying you. You walk away, but he just keeps following you around, taking little shots.

Or, learn to live with the foul graffiti.
Some years ago, I was attending an embassy party in Tokyo. I was trying to chat up the sweet looking Japanese barmaid, but a rather intoxicated Canadian man kept interrupting, following me around, and regaling me with ever-so-interesting factoids concerning the history of the United States and Canada. :rolleyes2: I had put him off politely a number of times, tried to "hide" from him, and tried to avoid him; all to no avail.

He said, "Did you know that the United States and Canada have the longest, most uncontested border in history?" I replied, "It's not OUR fault you guys can't raise an army!"

He looked at me like:

After that, he left me alone, and the barmaid and I had a pleasant evening. :)

 Quirt, you set yourself up for this situation by starting this /ignore business and then sticking with it. If you want to ignore him, just ignore him.
Thanks, but I'll decide for myself how I prefer to handle it.

He's the provocateur. If it bothers you, talk to him about it. I will listen to Renauda's advice on this subject, but not yours. Your criticism is rather one-sided.
It would be unwise to underestimate what large groups of ill-informed people acting together can achieve. -- John D'Oh, January 14, 2010.
