Nope. The criteria for the two actions are totally different. He might not deserve the prize, but merit impeachment, or the other way around.

Free fall? They've fallen substantially, but I thought his poll numbers had pretty well stabilized.

Part of the reason his poll numbers are as low as they are is because he isn't pandering to the left as much as the left thought he would, and they're pissed about it.
Amen.
Too many of the left never listened to him. They projected their goals on him.

I think it started the day he was inaugurated, if not earlier.
Isn't that the same time period that he was nominated for the Nobel?

lb
I seem to recall the conservative cabal saying that he hadn't done anything to deserve it, at the time he was nominated.

So, presumably, at that time, he hadn't done anything to warrant impeachment either.

Right?
I thought his nomination was secret and that he was nominated was not known. I know that I didn't hear anything until he won. We have a search function now maybe you can find the threads where the conservative cabal said he didn't deserve it.

At the time he was inaugurated he already had a history and a long list of campaign promises to fuel the anger of the conservative cabal.

lb
My position is simple: you jumped to an unwarranted conclusion and slung mud on an issue where none was deserved. Quirt 03/08/09

The obvious question is whether Quirt thinks he actually did deserve the nomination, let alone the Nobel prize.

So, he deserved to be impeached based on campaign promises, without having spent a day in office?

What an interesting point of view.

Just for yucks, why don't we review the language of the Constitution regarding impeachment?

Quote:

The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.

It's kind of hard to see how history or campaign promises constitute treason, bribery, high crimes, or misdemeanors. Unless you've gone through the looking glass.

Aw, I was expecting to see the links to the conservative cabal saying that he didn't deserve the Nobel when he was nominated.

On a more serious note, I preferred the classic '/ignore' line. It is more classy than plain mud slinging.

I have to agree. The little needlepoint sentiment is unpleasant on a regular basis. It's kind of like repetitive foul graffiti.

You guys didn't like /ignore either. Renauda suggested I follow Larry's model. I have.

Or, just get IT to stop talking to me. He's like a guy who keeps wandering up to you at a cocktail party with the express intention of annoying you. You walk away, but he just keeps following you around, taking little shots.

Or, learn to live with the foul graffiti.

Hey, there's no need to bring me into this discussion. Plus, I don't take little shots, I always take doubles.

 Quirt, you set yourself up for this situation by starting this /ignore business and then sticking with it. If you want to ignore him, just ignore him.
