HOLY CARP!!!
What I don't understand is why one needs a new TV to watch in 3D.

This green/red trick should work on normal TVs just fine, no?

If you want trouble, find yourself a redhead
Put me in the no more battery operated devices camp with lb. I'm holding out for actual 3D projected holograms.

Of course without adventure and a storyline, video sex will never sell. :smokin:

But TCL Corporation, the Chinese company that's a parent of RCA, showed off 3-D TV technology that doesn't require glasses. A company representative said the technology, which adds a layer of rippled lenses to the front of the TV screen to produce the three-dimensional effect, could be used in the home as well as on billboards.

No, this has been out for a while. I saw one demo'd about 5 years ago. The problem with this is that there is a sweet spot where the 3-D works fine, any other location on your couch will not be very good. This is like those little 2 image novelties given out to kids, where you move it left or right and you get the alternate image. It is possible that someone has come up with an improvment on what was shown a few years ago, but I'm not holding my breath.

More disappointing in your quote is the statement that the Radio Corporation of America is owned by a Chinese company. Is nothing sacred?
