I've been getting the jewish whine for about a week now.

"I wanna go to Florida."
I'm hoping, for your sake, that this is NOT one of the threads that Plays checks.

Otherwise, you'd better read up on George's anesthetic thread. You're gonna need it.
It would be unwise to underestimate what large groups of ill-informed people acting together can achieve. -- John D'Oh, January 14, 2010.

HOLY CARP!!!
:D

I'm alive today at her pleasure.

I've been a dead man walking for years. She just hasn't pulled the trigger yet. ;)
Identifying narcissists isn't difficult. Just look for the person who is constantly fishing for compliments
and admiration while breaking down over even the slightest bit of criticism.

We have the freedom to choose our actions, but we do not get to choose our consequences.

I ordered some new winter gloves today. Good ones that I hope will last for years.

The ones I have now are too thin for any really cold temps.

We're luckier than Renauda R2. Here, we've weather reprieves a few times each season, something called "Chinooks". Google that. The upside of those is the weather can go from the low minus temps to the high teens in say, 12 hours. IOWs, people can go from extreme cold in long underwear to almost wearing shorts [some do!]. Everything melts. There are problems with that. But the worst are the headaches or emotion swings that happen with some people during Chinooks. Many people get miserable.
I suspect I'd be one of those getting headaches. I get sinus headaches when we get a sudden pressure change here, and that's nothing compare to what a chinook is. I have all these childhood christmas card happy memories of Calgary, chinooks, snow, ice rinks at every corner. But reading your posts makes me realise that as an adult, I'd probably have different thoughts about that kind of weather. ^_^

I still say I miss good snowy winters, though. I'm so sick of the grey rainy winter days here. The wet cold is so miserable and dreary.

We seriously need some cold weather here quick like; one of the local mountains being used for snowboard/cross Olympic events is getting drowned in rain. What a mess!
