Love the old part of London.
My memory of the English is that of the woman who purposely stepped on my foot and said "sorry" an instant after contact. The other English were little better.
My more recent trip was confined to the tourist areas and the people were not so rude. I had learned to avoid most people there by this time.

She apologized, what more do you want? Jeebles, Americans are so sensitive. You're lucky - if she'd been a Lancastrian she'd have told you to sod off as well before apologizing.

Always keep 'em guessing, that's our motto!
What do you mean "we", have you got a mouse in your pocket?
